The Plan Commission voted to approve a site plan and exterior building alterations for Parrish Surveying & Engineering at 508 North Main Street on Nov. 4.
Staff described the project as exterior modifications including cleaning brickwork, replacing siding, installing new windows and doors, painting south and west elevations, and adding awnings that will overhang the right‑of‑way (staff noted the applicant will need a temporary grant of privilege from the clerk's office for the awnings). Staff recommended approval with two listed conditions. The applicant or a representative (Kevin Parrish) was not present at the meeting; the chair commented, "It looks really, really nice. It's gonna really make that into Main Street sharp." A commissioner asked whether a sign permit would be required in the future; staff said they expect the applicant to return for a sign permit if needed.
The commission moved, seconded and approved the site plan as presented.
