West Bend library board lowers printing fees to 10'¢/25'¢

The West Bend Memorial Library Board voted to lower public printing fees to 10 cents per page for black-and-white prints and 25 cents per page for color prints.
Director noted that attendees at the Wisconsin Library Association reported many libraries charging 10 and 25 cents, while West Bend had been charging 25 and 50 cents. "My recommendation would be to go to 10 and 25," the Library Director said. A board member moved to lower the fees; Karen made the motion and Brett seconded. The motion carried.
Board members asked staff to compare printing usage month-to-month and year-over-year to assess financial impact after the change.
The fee change takes effect following the board vote and staff will monitor volume and revenue changes.
