Council approves multiple rezoning and code items, including Village of Ann Arbor parcel

The council also approved amendments related to chapter 40 (trees and other vegetation) that focus amendments on private property up to the sidewalk and add sight-line guidance; Council member Ackman moved changes that would allow staff to use AASHTO site-triangle standards and set a 30-inch height limit in sight triangles. That amendment was treated as rendering the ordinance back to first reading and will return with another public hearing and a second reading.
