The Cumberland School Committee on Oct. 9 approved several routine items in addition to the construction contract and Foster Grandparent MOU.
The committee voted 6–0 to approve a resolution endorsing administrators' work to change the high school schedule to better serve student needs. The 2025–26 bus routes were approved 6–0 after the superintendent reported outstanding questions had been addressed. The committee also approved six fiscal resolutions discussed in the fiscal subcommittee and approved payment of bills totaling $925,589.56; both actions passed 6–0.
Other routine items earlier in the meeting included approval of the consent agenda (minutes, enrollment reports, transportation update and bus inspection report) and motions to seal executive-session minutes (the seal motion passed 4–2). The committee adjourned at 8:18 p.m.
