The Gettysburg Area School District Board of Directors elected Alice Broadway as board president and Dr. Al Moyer as vice president during its annual reorganization meeting on Monday evening.
Board members first named Tim Sigman temporary president for the opening of the meeting; Sigman then presided while the county election certifications were read and newly elected members took the oath of office. After nominations, Alice Broadway was elected president by roll-call vote; Dr. Al Moyer was subsequently elected vice president by roll-call vote.
The votes were unanimous among the members present. The board also elected Dr. Moyer to serve as the district's PSBA legislative chairperson for the 2026 calendar year and appointed Belinda M. Wallen as the district representative and Thomas D. Fortnum as alternate to the York Adams Tax Bureau.
The reorganizational business concluded with announcements about committee assignments and a brief recess before the regular meeting.
Actions taken at the meeting were procedural and organizational; no policy or budget changes were enacted in these votes.
