The Centennial School District board approved a contract award for mechanical system design and construction administration at Powell Butte Elementary.
Director Sotherton presented the results of a public procurement process (RFP) that produced five responses, two of which scored highest. Based on reference checks and the firm’s team knowledge, administration recommended awarding the contract to PAE (consulting engineers) in an amount not to exceed $375,000, funded by a Portland Clean Energy Fund grant.
PAE’s scope includes design, engineering and technical construction administration for the mechanical system upgrade. Administration said it expects construction documents and bid materials by late January or early February and hopes contractors will begin work in summer, subject to contractor bids and scheduling.
The board moved and seconded the award and approved it by voice vote; the chair announced the motion "passes unanimously."
