The Mount Juliet Planning Commission approved a consent agenda on Aug. 16 that included multiple final plats and site plans. Items approved or recommended included final plats for Wintree Pines Phase 8 and Bradshaw Forest phases, a master development plan for Rosemont, site plan review for a proposed restaurant at 1209 Rutland Drive, and site plans for a Legacy 5 medical office building and Tillman Place.
The commission also approved a final master development plan/site plan for a McDonald’s at 8776 Golden Bear Gateway after staff presentation and no public comment. Commissioners discussed the Hickory Station West site plan (261 West Main Street) and required elevation revisions; staff noted convenience retail and gasoline service stations are not permitted in CTC districts and recommended conditions. The Hickory Station West item was approved with conditions requiring elevation revisions and other staff comments.
Separately, Commissioner Giles recused himself from consideration of the Faith Is The Victory Church site plan due to a declared financial and personal interest; that recusal was noted for the record.
