City staff reported to the Board that construction activity has begun at the wastewater treatment plant. Staff said crews arrived with equipment and a new construction entrance was established; the work will progress slowly during winter months and then continue in earnest as weather allows.
During the discussion a speaker noted the project is approximately a $29,000,000 sewer plant expansion that has been discussed for several years and will involve construction activity over a multi-year period. Staff indicated the project will take a couple of years and that the city is preparing for phased construction and coordination with contractors.
