The Clatsop County Board of Commissioners approved two multi-year collective bargaining agreements and completed countywide budget committee appointments on Tuesday.
Human Resources Director Rebecca Cameron presented the 2025–2028 collective bargaining agreement between Clatsop County and the Oregon Nurses Association; the board voted to approve the agreement and authorized the chair to sign it. The board then approved a separate 2025–2028 agreement between Clatsop County’s District Attorney’s office and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Local 2746-DA and authorized the chair to sign.
The board also appointed David Ozer to fill a District 3 vacancy on the countywide budget committee and Bob Bomer to the District 5 vacancy. Both appointments are full-term and are scheduled to expire in June 2028, as announced by Finance Director Andrew Sullivan.
Motions on the record were moved and seconded and carried; no roll-call tallies naming individual ayes or nays were recorded in the public portion of the transcript for these votes. Commissioners noted there are ongoing personnel investigations related to the DA’s office that may be handled in executive session, and they thanked county staff and bargaining teams for reaching agreements.
No additional substantive changes to salary schedules or contract provisions were summarized during the public motion; the board approved the agreements as presented in the meeting packet.
