Shannon Marshall, special projects division manager, presented a recommended award for an interior renovation project adjacent to the Justice Center to Myers Cherry Construction LLC. Councilors moved and seconded the motion and a roll call was recorded.
Marshall also presented a separate interior build-out for the Parks Maintenance Building. She said staff received six bids; the lowest responsible bid (including a $20,000 contingency alternate) was from Builders Unlimited for a total recommended award of $308,294 (item 25-1337). A motion to approve was made, seconded and taken to roll call.
Marshall outlined the intended occupants for the renovated streets/stormwater/utilities building (administration for utilities; streets and stormwater administration; community development neighborhood engagement and inspections; and an IT/GIS group) and noted staff also planned to relocate the emergency management division there.
