The Middleton City Council on Oct. 15 approved Resolution 532-25 authorizing the mayor to sign paperwork conveying traffic signal improvements at State Highway 44 and Cemetery Road to the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD). Staff told council the signal is completed and the municipality simply needs to transfer responsibility to ITD; council voted in favor by voice vote.
Council members said the matter was straightforward and appropriate to pass to the state agency for ongoing maintenance and operation. The motion passed without recorded opposition.
