Altoona reports roughly $6.8 million in completed public-works projects in 2025

The city manager listed completed work including stormwater intake modifications at 13 locations; the 25th Street/7th Avenue traffic-signal project; Garfield Park improvements; transportation center upgrades; sidewalk work on Union Avenue, 24th Street and Broad Avenue; 12th Street stormwater improvements; Logan Boulevard/North 3rd storm-pipe lining; repaving of about 11 miles of streets; and the 10th Avenue retaining-wall project.
"To date, 11 miles of streets have been repaved, and the 10th Avenue retaining wall has been completed," the city manager said, summarizing the year's work as "Roughly $6,800,000 in public works projects that have been completed in 2025." The report was given as an informational update; no council action was required during the meeting.
