Board approves minutes, personnel, business and curriculum items; roll calls show unanimous consent

The East Penn School District Board of School Directors approved a series of routine items at its Nov. 10 meeting, including prior minutes, personnel and curriculum matters, and several business operations items.

The chair called for approval of the Oct. 27 minutes; a motion was made and seconded and Miss Allen conducted a roll call that recorded nine ayes, approving the minutes. The board similarly approved the listed personnel items in a single roll call (nine ayes).

Business operations items a, b and c were taken together by unanimous roll call and approved without discussion. Curriculum items were handled in two parts: item a (educational conferences) was approved separately, and items b–e (course additions and program changes, including restructuring family consumer science to emphasize cooking techniques) were taken together and approved after brief board comments praising the curricular changes.

Motions were made and seconded on the floor for each vote; the meeting record shows the standard procedural approvals and does not record any ‘‘no’’ votes or abstentions for the items presented. The board adjourned following routine announcements.
