The Rockport-Fulton Independent School District board adopted a resolution canvassing the Nov. 4, 2025 general election results at a special meeting convened Nov. 17, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., voting 4-0 to certify the returns.
The presiding officer opened the meeting and said it had been posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act (Texas Government Code Chapter 551), and noted that a former board member was present. There were no public comments; no one had signed up to speak.
"I move that the board, as the canvassing authority for the district general election, canvass the results of the November [4, 2025] general election by adopting the proposed resolution declaring that the election was properly conducted and declaring the general election results," said Miss Yarnell, a board member, who made the motion. Miss Alston seconded.
The presiding officer called the vote. Members responded "Aye," and the presiding officer announced, "Motion carries 4 0." The vote certified the district's results for the Nov. 4 general election.
The board adjourned at 5:01 p.m.
