Belvedere–Tiburon Library librarian previews first 'Tiburon artisan market'

At the start of the Oct. 28 meeting, Ivan Silva, a librarian from the Belvedere–Tiburon Library, used the public-comment period to announce the inaugural Tiburon artisan market organized by the library makerspace.
Silva described the market as a two- (and three-) pronged event to: (1) feature local creatives and makerspace projects (laser cutters, 3D printers, heat press), (2) connect neighbors with artists who live nearby and (3) highlight the library's design-lab resources. He invited commissioners and community members to attend and left contact information for follow-up.
A commissioner asked a question during the public-comment period but staff reminded attendees that questions are not permitted during public comment; commissioners said staff could share Silva's contact information for follow-up outside the meeting.
Staff noted the market coincides with other local events later in November; no formal commission action was taken on the announcement.
