Saline County approves Microsoft Office 365 renewal for 445 licenses

Lauren Humphrey, the county IT director, said the renewal covers 445 named licenses and that staff reviewed alternatives before recommending renewal. Humphrey stated the total cost for the renewal in the presentation packet and said the county had budgeted a higher amount in the prior cycle; staff also reduced some licenses. The board moved and seconded RFA 2025-141 and approved the renewal by voice vote.
Why this matters: The subscription supplies essential productivity and security services used across county departments. Staff said the renewal is below last year’s budgeted figure because of license reductions and vendor selection.
