Council approves series of resolutions and ordinances, tables alley discontinuance
Summary

The Rome Common Council voted on a pack of routine and project-related measures on Nov. 12, approving several resolutions and ordinances and tabling one land-discontinuance item.
Resolutions carried included: - Resolution 147: Creation of a Sewer Capital Project account with an interfund transfer authorized (SEG 188-200). - Resolution 148: Appointment to the Board of Assessment Review (SEG 201-210). - Resolution 149: Authorization for the mayor to apply for and accept up to $1,000,000 from the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) under the CREST program for the SFM skate park project (SEG 211-225). - Resolution 150: Acceptance of a $400 donation from the Rome Lions Club to support a movie screening at the Capitol Theater (SEG 226-240). - Resolution 151: Acceptance of a $400 donation from Aislin Jaskolka for three bike-safety signs (SEG 241-257). - Resolution 152: Authorization to advertise a public hearing on discontinuing a portion of Wolf Lane (public hearing date inserted and the resolution carried as amended) (SEG 258-287).
Ordinances adopted or advanced included: - Ordinance 9830: Authorizing street closings for the holiday tree lighting and Rome Lights Fest 5K run/walk (SEG 288-310). - Ordinance 9831: Authorizing sale of city-owned parcel 304 A North J Street for $2,000 (SEG 311-349). - Ordinance 9832: Authorizing sale of parcels 428–430 West Court Street for $2,000 (SEG 350-367). - Ordinance 9833: Authorizing acquisition of property (former Tuxedo Trailer Park) for wastewater treatment plant expansion (SEG 368-392).
One ordinance was tabled: - Ordinance 9834: Discontinuance of a portion of the paper alley known as Wolf Lane behind 1605–1607 North George Street was moved, seconded, and then tabled by voice vote (SEG 393-419).
Ordinance 9828, removed from the table, authorized a rehabilitation agreement and sale of 606 Croton Street for $4,000 and carried after council discussion about bid packages (SEG 600-629).
Most items were approved by voice vote or unanimous consent.
