Treasurer Mister Bletzinger told the board the district recorded roughly $2,400,000 in revenues for the period, down about $1,400,000 from the prior month and down roughly $235,000 from the same period last year. He said federal receipts were down about $9,000 and state receipts down about $293,000; taxes were down about $1,200,000. On the expense side, he reported approximately $2,565,000 for the month, a decline of about $705,000 compared with the same period last year.
Bletzinger listed several large September expenditures, including the district's annual insurance package (~$704,000), a payment to Carpet Decorators ($267,881), Mojo Sports ($117,938), CNC Contracting ($92,589) and Mechanical Consultants ($87,002.55). He also reported payroll of about $3,100,000, bringing a combined total of roughly $5,640,000 for reported payroll periods.
For October board bills, Bletzinger summarized a total of about $1,100,000.03 and 15¢, noting utilities and two large bond payments as significant items. The board approved the treasurer's report and payment of bills and salaries by voice votes; no opposition was recorded in the meeting transcript.
