Greenview students gave a choir preview and the district presented its first ARC Impact awards to two long-serving staffers, highlighting student engagement programs and staff recognition.
Students from Greenview and the district’s choir club provided a brief performance preview and staff were recognized with the new ARC Impact Award.
Music teacher Mr. Stamatis introduced the choir club and several students, saying, "We're actually performing, opening for the fifth and sixth grade orchestra, December 16," and described the club’s meeting schedule and future concert in May. The presentation highlighted PIE time (prevention, intervention and enrichment), co-teaching, gifted enrichment results and attendance incentives such as a book-vending token program.
The district also presented the inaugural ARC Impact Awards to longtime educator Natalie Noah of Rowan Elementary and to Felicia White ("Miss V"), a student support specialist at Memorial Junior High. Noah, introduced by the superintendent, told the board, "This is my 31st year teaching here," and expressed gratitude to colleagues and the community. Presenters described both honorees as demonstrating exceptional dedication to students and staff.
Board members praised staff and volunteers who support student programs and attendance initiatives. The meeting noted a range of clubs and activities — STEM, arts, dance/wellness and choir — and said Greenview will open a library self-checkout kiosk soon.
