Students present house system and FFA national convention to trustees
Summary
Students described the school's new house system—highlighting inclusion, student voice and competitions—and FFA officers recapped learning and networking at the national convention in Indianapolis and Louisville.
Students addressed the board in two presentations. A student house leader described the school’s house system as a way to build community and student leadership, saying the system emphasizes values such as "bravery, unity, and the readiness to protect" and adding that "Every student's voice matters." The presentation outlined examples (blind volleyball, house competitions) and thanked house heads and staff for their support.
Separately, FFA chapter officers recapped their national convention trip. Bronk, the chapter president, described sessions, industry tours and a keynote speaker (Art Jackson) and said the chapter met thousands of members from across the country and territories. The students said they brought back ideas on parliamentary procedure and confidence building for the chapter.
Trustees thanked the students and recognized the educational value of travel and student leadership experiences. The presentations were informational and did not require board action.
