School district to seek approval next week for final renovation change orders and stadium upgrades

The Cornwall-Lebanon School District presented final change orders and updates on several ongoing construction projects, asking the board to consider ratifying the items at the Oct. 20 voting meeting.
Mrs. Hentz said the Falcon Connector is “slowly coming to a close” and outlined a small change order for plaque spacing and plumbing-allowance credits, which she expects will be among the final administrative adjustments. She said she hopes to provide a final expense report after the district audit is complete.
On Cedar Crest High School renovations, the district reported several change orders that together yield a net credit of $53,221.10, including a $49,000 credit tied to a decision about terrazzo versus corridor finish. On the stadium project, officials listed a net change to the general contractor of $56,613.92 and said adding fobs and wiring for two doors will cost about $6,800. The presentation also noted a retaining-wall replacement using stone reclaimed on site and an $8,107 cost to add isolation valves so staff can winterize stadium water lines.
Most of the change orders and credits were described as routine adjustments or responses to site conditions; administration said the items will be brought forward for formal approval at the Oct. 20 meeting so work can continue on schedule.
The board did not take formal action during the work session; items were presented for review and will appear on the upcoming voting agenda.
