City Manager Henry described the vehicle as essential for transporting rescue equipment, the division’s rescue trailer and UTV, and for deploying medical units during inclement weather to aid patient accessibility and transport. Staff said competitive bidding was not required because the quoted price was lower than the Sourcewell cooperative purchasing price.
Councilman Prokes/Propst moved the resolution and Councilman Reynolds seconded. A roll call produced unanimous ayes and the motion carried. Staff will proceed with the purchase under the cooperative purchasing authorization and follow procurement procedures for contract execution and equipment delivery.
