The State of Nevada Board of Examiners met Oct. 14 and approved a series of administrative and procurement actions, including minutes, vehicle purchases, a personnel contract, updates to the state administrative manual, leases and a large batch of contracts.
During the meeting the board approved minutes for Oct. 14 and Oct. 29 (items 3a and 3b) after Attorney General Aaron Ford moved to approve the items and members voted to adopt them.
Under item 4 the board considered state vehicle purchases presented by Miss Grenemeyer. The requests included one vehicle for the Department of Public Safety not to exceed $40,450; two vehicles for the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Division of Environmental Protection not to exceed $107,857 in total; and one vehicle for the Division of Water Resources not to exceed $50,600. No questions were raised and the board voted to approve the purchases.
Under item 5 the Department of Human Services, Aging and Disability Services requested permission to contract with former employee Marcia Rubin through Reliable Healthcare Services of Southern Nevada Inc.; the board approved the request.
The Governor's Finance Office presented a proposed modification to the State Administrative Manual under item 6 to require monthly draws and to provide procedural changes for federal grant reconciliation. After clarification and discussion the board approved the change.
Items 7–9 covered leases, contracts and master service agreements. The board approved two leases under item 7; approved a slate of 56 contracts under item 8 (the meeting materials indicate contract 33 was among them); and approved five master service agreements under item 9. The Clerk of the Board also reported as an informational item that 60 contracts in the $10,000–$99,999 threshold were approved by the clerk between 09/17/2025 and 10/14/2025.
The Governor's Finance Office then presented an informational reconciled fund balance report as of 11/03/2025 that listed approximate balances for multiple accounts (tort claim fund $2,360,000; statutory contingency $2,600,000; stale claims $3,500,000; emergency account $200,000; disaster relief account $7,900,000; IFC contingency restricted general fund $139,900,000; extradition coordinator budget account $1,600,000). The Department of Motor Vehicles presented a Complete Streets program report covering 07/01/2025–09/30/2025 and confirmed statutory reporting of voluntary contribution distributions by county.
There was no further public comment and the board adjourned.
