District facilities update: Nelson roof near completion; Hines' Lloyd Tract purchase could add 804 lots inside Santa Fe ISD

On development, Wheeler said Hines has purchased the Lloyd Tract north of FM 517 and plans a 2,700‑acre buildout over 5–7 years. Within the district boundary, about 804 approved lots exist now; an "urban village" area of roughly 80–90 acres is planned with mixed uses (retail, multifamily, individual lots). Wheeler emphasized planning is preliminary and nothing is finalized.
Wheeler asked trustees to keep the district informed as developers continue planning; board members asked clarifying questions about map features and proximity to Cemetery Road and adjacent tracts.
