District communications staff told the board the district is running a comprehensive outreach campaign ahead of a bond election and is preparing to launch a unified communications platform.
Tiffany Kinch said the district produced short videos, mailers, flyers and social posts to explain each building’s bond highlights and promoted town halls where families could ask questions. “We launched a comprehensive public information campaign ahead of tomorrow’s election,” Kinch said.
Kinch also confirmed ParentSquare is the district’s new unified communications tool and will launch on Dec. 1. She described how ParentSquare’s calendar hierarchy will show parents districtwide events plus school‑ and group‑specific items (for example, athletics or class groups), and that parents can add items to their personal calendars with a click. She cautioned that some relatives (for example, grandparents) may not automatically have ParentSquare access and said the district will keep public event calendars available on its website.
A board member asked about a single comprehensive calendar; Kinch explained ParentSquare organizes items by group membership so parents see events relevant to their students while a district calendar ensures broad public events remain visible.
Board members thanked communications staff for the outreach work and no formal action was taken at the meeting.
