The Olentangy Local School District Board on Oct. 16 recorded a series of votes on planning and routine matters.
What passed: The board approved the district's 10-year enrollment projections; appointed Andrea Vasilias, an Orange High School teacher, to the Well-Being and Mental Health Committee; approved the September 2025 monthly financial report; adopted 2026 health and dental insurance rates for the plan year starting Jan. 1, 2026; approved superintendent consent items including personnel actions and approvals for students recommended for early graduation; and approved the 09/25/2025 meeting minutes (one member abstained).
Vote details: The enrollment projections were approved by roll call with board members recording yes votes during the separate motion. The appointment of Andrea Vasilias and the consent slates for financials, insurance rates and superintendent items were adopted without substantive discussion. When the board approved the prior meeting minutes as a stand-alone item, one board member recorded an abstention.
Context: Board members said these procedural approvals follow from earlier discussions and are intended to keep planning and operations on schedule as the district prepares materials tied to capital planning and the Nov. 4 ballot. The actions will allow staff to use the approved projections and financial decisions in forthcoming bond planning and outreach.
