"We're on strike 3 as far as errors," one district speaker said, arguing the district should seek credits from the design/contractor for delays and incorrect plans.
Contractor representatives and staff explained procedures for delay compensation and contingency use. Board members asked for clearer documentation before final payments and recommended negotiating credits before releasing final contractor payments. Wireless access-point cabling, elevator hoisting and life-safety iron work were among smaller items that produced line-item change costs.
The board moved to approve the presented construction change orders; a motion and second were recorded and the board voted by voice to approve them.
