"Leasing it would be approximately 89,000," a road department representative said in the meeting while describing the six-year/8,000-hour warranty coverage that would be included in bid specifications. Commissioners discussed blade sizes, warranty hours, bid specification parity between vendors (e.g., Butler and RDO) and the option to request detailed inclusions in the bid sheet.
The board voted to authorize bid letting and specified that the advertisement will run the required 21 days; bids will be due and opened at the November 19 meeting. Commissioners asked staff to prepare detailed bid specs and to return with financing and operational recommendations after bid opening.
