Vaccarazzo said the ISS staff member would work with small groups — "I don't envision them working with more than 10 at a time" — and emphasized that the role would differ from grade‑level counselors by providing concentrated academic and behavioral support during the school day.
The principal also described storage constraints and floated options — a rented metal storage container versus a permanent shed — as a seed for future CIP consideration. Committee members suggested exploring lower‑cost local solutions (e.g., community woodworking projects, Eagle Scout projects) and clarified that a storage seed does not represent a firm CIP commitment.
The committee advanced the middle school budget for review. No hiring decisions were made at the meeting.
