He said about 29% of the athletics account covers game costs (officials, assigners, entry fees, police details and portable facilities), roughly 23% covers transportation and about 11% covers facility usage and outside venues.
The presenter asked the committee to consider restoring a practice wrestling mat request removed last year and noted a modest increase to support a biennial hall‑of‑fame event; he said ticket sales often partially offset event start‑up costs.
The committee voted to accept the athletics budget for review. No final allocation or additional staffing changes were decided at the meeting.
