Timberlane Regional School District’s budget committee voted Oct. 9 to accept multiple FY27 budget proposals for review, moving capital and department requests forward for further consideration rather than final adoption.
Motions to advance the proposed Capital Improvement Program (CIP) budget and departmental budgets were made, seconded and approved by voice vote. After clarification of the CIP total, the committee approved advancing the CIP at $1,892,200 for further review. The committee also approved advancing the athletics budget ($475,271), the music budget ($118,596), the Timberlane Regional Middle School budget ($336,967) and the Timberlane Regional High School budget ($956,436) for committee review.
These votes place the proposals on the committee’s review calendar; they do not finalize tax rates or appropriations. Committee members and staff emphasized that the CIP list includes projects placed on an FY28 “seeds” list for future conversation and that placement on that list does not constitute project approval.
The committee also announced a vacancy on the budget committee after the resignation of Lauren Schlorf and posted an application window for registered Plaistow voters; the submission deadline is Oct. 16, 2025, with an anticipated appointment Nov. 11, 2025.
The committee set future meeting dates and scheduled site walkthroughs, including a virtual walkthrough at Sandown North on Nov. 3. The meeting was adjourned.
