RPC forms subcommittee to study regional coordination with RTC
Summary
The commission approved formation of a subcommittee (chair, vice chair and immediate past chair) to study regional coordination mechanisms in the regional plan and prepare recommendations for the RPC and RPGB.
The Truckee Meadows Regional Planning Commission voted to form a subcommittee to examine regional coordination mechanisms and recommend improvements to how the regional plan and interjurisdictional coordination are implemented.
Jeremy Smith explained that when the commission has a new task that affects the commission’s work, a subcommittee comprised of the current chair, current vice chair and immediate past chair is typically formed so all three jurisdictions are represented. The subcommittee is intended to meet in public and return recommendations to the full commission.
A motion to form the subcommittee was made and seconded; the commission voted in favor. Staff said they will schedule the first public meeting of the subcommittee and report back to the commission.
