Miss Miller outlined the timeline and screening process for the Stoughton High School principal search. The district will publish the job posting and description the week of Nov. 17 and will accept complete application packets through Jan. 5. Miller said she, Dr. Baeta and Mr. Colantonio will conduct an initial screening; a broader screening and interview committee (faculty, staff, students, parents, community members) will then interview candidates the week of Jan. 12 and the week of Jan. 20 (interviews scheduled 4–7 p.m.).
The committee will select finalists to forward to the superintendent the week of Jan. 26, when finalist site visits at the high school will take place. Miller said the district hopes to announce the selected candidate by Friday, Feb. 13, allowing transition time in June and July. Committee members discussed equitable hiring practices, blind review options through SchoolSpring and student/staff feedback mechanisms (surveys and recorded candidate presentations) as part of the planned process.
No formal vote was taken; the committee noted interest from members in serving on the interview committee.
