Natrona County commissioners unanimously approved a text amendment to the county’s 2022 zoning resolution Tuesday aimed at clarifying language and reducing redundant or contradictory provisions.
Planning staff presented TA25‑01 as an administrative cleanup effort intended to improve readability and correct inconsistencies identified since the 2022 resolution’s adoption. The amendments were published for 45 days and were recommended for approval by the Planning and Zoning Board.
No members of the public spoke in favor of or in opposition to the amendment during the hearing. Commissioners expressed support for treating the zoning code as a living document that will be revisited and revised as needed. Commissioner Milne moved to approve the amendment as advertised; the motion was seconded and passed.
Planning staff noted that additional, larger rewrites — including subdivision regulations and an update to the county’s land‑use plan — are in progress and are expected to take more time and a fuller public process.
