The Ralston Public Schools Board voted to approve the consent agenda, which included minutes from the Oct. 27 meeting, the October financial report and bills totaling $546,727.26 for the general fund and $848,642.74 for the special building fund.
During the finance update, the business officer said the district—s cash position was roughly $2 million higher than the previous year overall but noted a typical October decline in receipts. The board was told the next bond payment from the building fund is due Dec. 15 and is approximately $3.9 million; administration said the bond fund should cover the payment.
The board also discussed the lunch program deficit, which remains negative (around $350,000), though that was an improvement from the prior year. Administration said some federal funding had been received in the month under review and highlighted planned disbursements from the appreciation fund, including pending bus and device purchases.
The consent agenda motion passed on a roll-call vote. Board members asked questions about bill reviews and upcoming agenda items related to the building fund and capital projects.
