At its Nov. 17 session the Prince George's County District Council waived its election to review two subdivision specific design plans in District 9, allowing staff and the planning board approvals to stand and advancing project implementation.
For SDP-2503 (Dobson Farms), an applicant presentation named Dr. Horton and described an umbrella architectural package covering nine attached single‑family models and 19 single‑family attached models for the Dobson Farm subdivision. Council member Harrison moved to waive the council’s election to review; Council member Ivy seconded and the motion carried on a recorded vote, 8-0.
For SDP-2501 (Saddle Ridge), the application materials listed the site at approximately 0.75 miles west of the intersection with Branch Avenue and about 289.36 acres in an LCD zone with prior RS zoning. Council member Harrison moved to waive review on this matter as well; the motion was seconded and carried 9-0 (Vice Chair Orietta was recorded present for the Saddle Ridge roll call). Both actions waived the council’s election to review and left planning board conditions in place rather than initiating full council review.
Both matters were presented as having prior technical staff and planning board approvals with conditions. The council did not record substantive floor amendments to the planning board conditions in the transcript. Following the votes, the council proceeded to adjourn for the day.
