The Washington County Board of County Commissioners approved a contract award for an out‑of‑school program to MBA Growth Partners of Rockville for a total of $84,259.

Brandy Kenner, Director of Purchasing, and Maria Kramer of the Office of Grant Management said the county posted a request for proposals, held a pre‑proposal meeting attended by six firms, and received four proposals. One firm was deemed responsive; the coordinating committee opened the price from the responsive proposer and recommended award. The contract is scheduled to run from Dec. 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026.

Kramer said funding for the contract is available through the Governor’s Office for Children and that no county funds are necessary for this service. The program’s stated purpose is to provide enrichment and academic services to adolescents in Washington County.

A motion to award the contract (PUR1775) to MBA Growth Partners was moved, seconded, and approved by voice vote.

The board’s action authorizes the county to enter into an agreement with the selected firm; staff noted the procurement followed the posted solicitation and that the county’s grant partner covers the cost.
