Mosaic, New Hope Services and Class LTD thank Crawford County for mill-dollar support

Representatives of three local service providers told the Crawford County Commission the countymill-dollar support helps fill gaps in services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
"We do appreciate the support," Leslie LeCamp, area director for Mosaic in southeast Kansas, told commissioners. LeCamp said the funds help pay utilities, buy supplies for day programs and assist people who are starting new jobs with clothing and other needs.
Rosie West, director of New Hope Services in Pittsburgh, said the county dollars subsidize rent and utilities for clients and support transportation and other basic needs. "It surely ... helps them out a lot," she said.
Bob Davis, who introduced himself as CEO of Class LTD, said the county funds enable transportation, activities and basic supports that make it easier for clients to maintain the gains they have achieved. "Without it, it would be much more difficult to help them," Davis said.
Commissioners thanked the presenters for their work and acknowledged the county's continuing financial support through the mill levy.
