Commission honors emergency responders and highlights bridges, trail funding

Commissioners also reviewed recent public-works accomplishments: county road crews completed projects at Red Canyon and Pine Lake, two of three Forest Service-funded bridges in Pine Lake are finished and a third is expected to be set soon. The county said it will invoice the Forest Service for reimbursement and that the work brings additional administrative revenue. County staff reported a $40,000 award from the Division of Outdoor Recreation to support trail reroutes and erosion control for 2025.
The commission scheduled photos and acknowledged volunteers and businesses that provided equipment during the emergency. No formal vote was required for the recognitions; the meeting moved on to board reports.
