- Partners in School Innovation / School Improvement Grant (SIG) partner: The board approved using Partners in School Innovation as a lead partner to support persistently low‑performing schools through transformation reviews, capacity building, and aligned coaching; district staff described the approach as transparent, data‑driven and oriented to building internal capacity to sustain improvements.
- Quitclaim deed exchange with the city: The board suspended first reading and authorized the superintendent to execute and accept quitclaim deeds to resolve title issues on roughly 110 school properties and to convey certain city properties where the district's prior reversionary language limited financing options. The action is contingent on obtainment of necessary Board of Supervisors authorization.
- Closed session actions: The board reported approvals in closed session including one assistant principal contract and two student disciplinary matters (one stipulated expulsion agreement and one expulsion), recorded as four ayes with three absent for those closed‑session votes.
Most of the above items were approved by roll call during the meeting. Board members and staff said they would provide follow‑up reports where appropriate (e.g., pilot plans, MOUs, developer fee posting, and implementation steps for SIG supports).
