Hillside board approves multiple consent items, notes contract attachment correction; superintendent announces June 9 student showcase

The Hillside Public School District board approved several consent-agenda packages and heard an announcement about a student showcase during a routine meeting that closed Tuesday night.

Members moved and voted to approve finance items 1 through 9, buildings and grounds items 1 through 4, and education items 1 through 17. I’m telling you, you’re gonna be very impressed.” The superintendent said the program will begin at 10:00 a.m.; communication to the community and special guests will follow.

In closing remarks, Member O'Kai praised district staff and students and reiterated the board’s stated priority to keep students first. The meeting ended after a motion to adjourn was made, seconded and carried.
