Board hears 2025–26 budget preview and referendum project updates; public hearing set for May 5

The Greater Egg Harbor Regional High School District finance committee provided a budget preview for the 2025–26 school year and updated the board on referendum projects affecting facilities at all three high schools.
Speaker 5 said the finance committee met March 11 and that Tom reviewed a draft budget for 2025–26; board members received a packet with revenue and expenditure breakdowns and a municipal-by-municipal impact table. A public hearing on the budget was scheduled for May 5 at the board meeting planned for Oak Crest High School.
On referendum projects, the committee reported planned audio-visual work in the auditoriums at all three schools and said the district is hopeful construction will start this summer; Starlight was named as the company doing the AV work. Concession-stand renovations were discussed for Cedar Creek and Oakcrest; the district said renovations will include men’s and women’s bathrooms and that negotiations with the concession company were ongoing.
No formal budget vote took place at this meeting; the board was informed of the upcoming public hearing and ongoing facility negotiations.
