Separately, supervisors discussed the county REAP (Resource Enhancement and Protection) survey and the timeline for rewriting Madison County's five‑year REAP plan. A county official described REAP as a long‑standing state program that has returned more than $2.3 million in REAP funding to Madison County and encouraged supervisors to participate or request additional documentation from staff before completing the survey.
Supervisors also asked staff to prepare a clear ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) project list and status report so the board can ensure projects are completed before ARPA spending deadlines. The board agreed to have staff track each ARPA project and report back to avoid missed deadlines.
