Staff previews two rezonings, new city attorney and comprehensive-plan schedule

At the end of its July 9 meeting, the Manassas Park Planning Commission received an informational update from community development staff outlining upcoming items and staffing changes.

Barry also announced a new city attorney, Brian Lookman, who began his role on July 1. She said a contract award for the comprehensive-plan request for proposals is anticipated at the governing body meeting in August and that a consultant could brief the planning commission possibly as soon as September. Barry added the department plans to return with draft amendments on lot coverage and grading for single-family residential lots in September to gather commission input.
