A motion to proceed with the connection and later to pay the submitted bill were each moved, seconded and approved by voice vote. The board noted that connection fees from the units proposed for the site should offset the city’s outlay for the extension.
Board members also said the subdivision plan had already been approved at the planning level and staff is checking whether an explicit council appearance is required to finalize the payment.
The board passed the pay request by voice vote; individual member votes were not recorded in roll-call form.
Next steps: staff will confirm whether council approval is needed and, if required, carry the item forward; otherwise, procurement/payment will proceed under the approved budget.
