With no witnesses present at the third hearing, Vice Chair Wilson moved to refer the resolution to Rules and Reference; a roll call recorded all members voting in favor and the motion carried unanimously.
Senate Resolution 22, also presented as a third hearing and sponsored by Senator Schaeffer, urges the federal government to reduce processing times for veterans' disability claims. Again, with no proponent or opponent testimony, Vice Chair Wilson moved to favorably report SR 22 to Rules and Reference and the committee approved the motion by unanimous roll call; signature sheets circulated following the vote.
Chair Johnson reminded members that those wishing to cosponsor either resolution should add their names to the signature sheets. Both measures will proceed to the Committee on Rules and Reference for further consideration.
