Conover noted fiscal 2021 ended with lower-than-expected spending because of COVID-19 restrictions and that the FY22 request includes modest contingency placeholders to avoid repeated mid-year approvals.
After Conover's presentation, a commissioner moved and seconded approval. The clerk conducted a roll-call vote; the clerk announced the item passed. No public comment was recorded on the item.
Commission materials indicate the gift fund is administered by the Laguna Honda gift fund committee and managed under guidance from the City's Office of the Controller. Commissioners thanked hospital leadership and encouraged full use of the funds where COVID-19 restrictions permit.
