The San Francisco Board of Appeals held its annual officer elections on Jan. 17. Vice President Jose Lopez was nominated and elected president by a 5–0 vote. The board then elected Commissioner Alex Lemberg as vice president, also by a 5–0 vote.
President Rick Swig read the motion to elect Vice President Lopez to the office of president; the board recorded the unanimous votes and congratulated the new officers. Commissioners offered brief remarks of thanks to outgoing leadership and expressed support for the incoming officers.
Both elections were routine procedural actions required under the board’s rules; they were passed by unanimous voice vote and announced on the record.
