Several committee members requested to see the original contract and any prior bids used to award the contract, and asked whether field/turf pickup could be added to the scope of services; staff agreed to contact ACP about coverage of turf maintenance and to retrieve the prior contract and bid records for committee review.
Members discussed procurement options, including whether to solicit multiple competitive bids for a longer contract; some members said a one-year extension would allow time to explore in-house custodial options or to prepare a competitive solicitation. Staff noted Marty, who prepared the recommendation, was out following surgery and said they would obtain the contract documents and follow up in July.
No final multi-year award was completed at this meeting; staff were directed to gather supporting documents and ask ACP whether the turf/field cleanup could be added before the next meeting.
