The Planning Board continued consideration of a proposed two-lot subdivision at 24 Trask Lane to its April 23 meeting to allow the applicant time to address technical items raised by the board.
Applicant Bill Perkins introduced the matter and engineer Zach Lehi described the plan to use the existing driveway and create a private roadway (about 560 feet) to provide frontage for two new lots on a 7.9-acre parcel. "The property is located at 24 Trask Lane. It's a 7.9 acre site," Lehi said as part of his presentation.
Board members pressed the applicant to demonstrate that the proposed hammerhead/turnaround meets the turning-radius requirements for the town's largest fire apparatus and to maintain the town's 20-foot minimum roadway width where possible; Lehi said he would add a fire-truck turning template to the plans and coordinate with the fire chief. Conservation-related permitting for wetlands and stream crossings was highlighted as a dependency before final approvals.
The applicant requested a continuance to the next planning board meeting and the board voted to continue the matter to April 23 at 6:00 p.m. by roll call (recorded ayes included Faye, Eli, John and Warren). The board recorded that any required plan revisions and conservation filings should be completed before the next hearing.
